The Red Carpet Youth Film Festival is open to any amateur filmmakers and animators who are ages 21 or under. You must be a resident of British Columbia (excluding the Lower Mainand) at the time of the contest. Professionals will not be considered.

Entry Deadline is 5:00 pm TBA, 2009!

• Format: One viewing copy must be submitted in DVD format. A second, master copy in mini-DV, Hi-8 or Digital 8 must also be submitted with your application.

• Application Process: Films will be submitted to the pre-screening committee to decide which films will qualify for judging. Judges will determine which films will be nominated for awards. Successful entrants will receive a call to inform them their film has been selected to be screened at the festival.

Winners are announced on the evening of the Awards Show.

In your registration package, MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE:

• Photo and short biography of the director.
• Self-portrait and short synopsis.
• $15.00 entry fee.
• The film (DVD & master copy).
• Ensure the DVD, master copy and all materials are clearly labelled with filmmaker's name, title and exact running time.
• All permission slips for performers and music rights.
• Correct postage with complete return mailing address.

By submitting your film to the festival, you are granting the Red Carpet Film Festival non-exclusive rights to retain an archive copy of your production for the non-profit purposes of exhibition, promotion, and education.
